Kambo Preparation:

To ensure a safe and beneficial experience, please follow these guidelines carefully:

  • Fasting: Refrain from eating for 8-10 hours before your session. It’s ideal to have an empty stomach; however, do not fast for more than 12 hours, as it’s important to arrive well-nourished.
  • Hydration: Avoid drinking excessive water before your session. You will be asked to drink 1-1.5 liters of water immediately prior to receiving Kambo, so limit water intake upon waking up, taking only small sips if needed.
  • Avoid Stimulants: Refrain from consuming alcohol, caffeine, or recreational drugs 24 hours before your session.
  • Diet: Avoid heavy, greasy, or spicy foods the day before your session to ensure your body responds optimally.
  • Mindful Consumption: Be conscious of what you consume in the days leading up to your session, not only with food but also with social media, TV, and conversations, as they may influence your mindset.
  • Intention Setting: Take some time to reflect and set a clear intention for your session. This will help guide your experience.
  • Rest: Ensure you get a good night’s sleep before your session to prepare your body.

Post-Kambo Care:

Following these aftercare guidelines will support your body's recovery and enhance the benefits of your session:

  • Hydration: Continue drinking water regularly after the session to stay hydrated and aid in detoxification.
  • Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Refrain from alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours post-session, as these can interfere with your body’s healing process.
  • Diet: Avoid beef and other heavy meats for three days following the session to support your digestive system.
  • Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 24 hours post-session, as your skin may be more sensitive.
  • Self-Reflection: Journaling can be helpful in processing and integrating your experience. Use this time to write about any new insights, emotions, or changes you notice.
  • Rest: Listen to your body and avoid strenuous activities if you feel fatigued. Rest and gentle self-care will aid in your recovery.
