The skin is gently burned with a small stick to create tiny points where the Kambo will be applied. This process is known as "gates."
Application
The Kambo secretion is applied to the gates, allowing the bioactive peptides to enter the lymphatic system and bloodstream.
Experience
The effects of Kambo are typically felt within minutes and can include a warm flush, increased heart rate, and purging, which is part of the detoxification process.
